The Power Dozer side-casting blade is a mechanized earth-moving system that is highly productive, maintainable and robust.
The Power Dozer Side-Casting Blade technology (referred to as the Power Dozer) is a mechanized earth-moving system that allows continuous loading and unloading of material. It's faster and more efficient than any conventional machine on the market today.
The Power Dozer Side Casting Blade System consists of a standard cutting edge, with or without teeth, a steel track laid on edge to form a belt around two vertical axes, two hydraulic motors directly driving two sprocket drives to propel the belt, powered by an auxiliary power unit (APU) mounted on the rear of the dozer. The Power Dozer Side-Casting Blade technology provides power directly to the steel belt actively removing soil from the blade before it accumulates to the point the platform stops its forward motion. The steel belt rotates around two vertical axes that bring soil from the cutting edge to the belt, removing and casting it to the side of the vehicle's (platform) path. The speed at which the belt side-casts the material is matched to the hosts platform's forward speed so material is continuously unloaded. The belt is also reversible. Using this technology, no power is taken from the host platform allowing the total tractive effort to be applied to the ground producing continued forward motion while maintaining necessary depth. In practical terms, the Power Dozer moves more material per horsepower/hour. Using hydraulics to move the earth away, the Power Dozer can push more material than it weighs, which has always been a limiting factor in conventional earth moving equipment. In contrast to the conventional passive (non-powered) blade devices, the force needed to push the soil to one side is provided solely by its prime mover. As the blade goes deeper into the ground or the platform's speed increases, additional soil builds up on the blade (parasite load) and the force required to continue forward motion increases. The system will stop moving forward when the force required exceeds the tractive effort of the vehicle. The design features of the Power Dozer make it ideal for any type of earth moving job. The Power Dozer Blade can raise, lower and tilt to accommodate various angles. The belt track speed is variable and the direction is reversible. An operator can change both power and direction under full load without damaging the unit.

Its unique design features a steel belt driven by two separate high-torque, low-speed hydraulic motors powered by an auxiliary diesel engine mounted on the rear of the dozer. SEE ALL DESIGN BENEFITS.
